Just curious, thinking it may happen to my friend. How many payments did you default on? When did they take it? Did they call you first? Did you get it back? How is your credit now?
I love the answers so far. No, this is not me, I have excellent credit so I don’t know how these things work. This is about my boyfriend’s sister, who had someone (her grandma) co-sign the loan for her. We are all worried about what is going to happen and it is so hard finding information about this. She has missed 2 payments and will miss up to 2+ more before being able to pay (if ever). It is very irresponsible, so talking about it here helps me vent. I would like to find out what is going to happen so that I can sit down with her and let her know her options.

Other than the obvious (pay the bill). I’ve paid a $7800 loan down to $1653, and have not been able to make last month’s payment. They simply won’t reason about it, they seem like even though it is less than 60 days overdue that it will be repossessed at any second. Should I hide it?
