James B asked: I keep letters from collection agencys trying to get me to pay debts that are not mine. Is there any way to stop them or maybe charge them for the harassment. Each time it is always the wrong social security number,not mine.I cant believe that it is legal to send people a bill for a debt that is not them.

I don’t feel like the people in DC really care as much about it as they should; they feel okay about leaving it to the next generation. If the government could get out of debt think of how much extra money they would have for other things such as education, health care, any many other things that would benefit the people. It may be a pain to get out of debt right now but the sooner we can get out of debt the more money we’ll have in the future.

Kiwi bird asked: How can so many be so ignorant about something so important? Do ppl acutally think that that the gov’t is going to give them 800 bucks; do they not realize that they have to pay it back on next years income tax? Or at least have that deducted from their refund. How can so many fall for the Payday loan scams? How did so many get into ARM mortgages? Why don’t ppl educate themselves about personal finance?

Sarah R asked: Im having trouble determining the total for the debt ratio of total debt divided by total assets. I need Wal-Marts total debt, but not sure what categories on the balance sheet are included. Do I add total current liabilities, long term debt, long term obligations under capital leases, deferred income taxes and other, minority interest? I just need to know what to add up to get the total debt for Wal-Mart 2008. Thank you!

Digger asked: I am owed hundreds of pounds from a proffesional tradesman. He has told me that he has declared bankrupt, but I have no proof. I cannot find out where, when and if. So, is there a list of bankrupt people so I can check up whether he is, or is just getting out of paying me?
