Country Fireplace

Do you enjoy those chilly winter nights? Are you one of those individuals, who step outside into the cold winter snow and take a deep breath with a bright smile on your face? You simply can't get enough of that clean cool air after such a hot and muggy summer. Well, maybe you are and maybe you aren't. The fact of the matter is that some of us are winter folk and some are down with the summer heat. One thing is for sure; if you are a cool weather nut, then you probably enjoy a nice country fireplace. Okay, so it doesn't have to be so country. It can be a more ornate or possibly rather contemporary fireplace if you prefer. As for me, there is just something about a nice cozy country fireplace that keeps me content on a cold winter's day.

... Try a country fireplace or nice hefty wood stove ...

Have you purchased that ideal log cabin up in the far off mountains somewhere yet? If you have acquired that perfect second home, then it probably came fully equipped with a country fireplace. These handy amenities go back as far as anyone can remember. In fact, they're some of the first forms of heat. How do you think folks like you and I heated their homes 200 years ago? Try a country fireplace or nice hefty wood stove. That was virtually the only way to go back then.

... built this traditional cabin by hand ...

Several months ago I got a pretty good taste of what true country life was like. You see my older brother owns around 20 acres of land in northern Iowa. Anyway, he had a small getaway cabin built up there for a fun retreat. Now when I say he had one built, I'm not talking about by contractors and a traditional construction team. I'm talking about an Amish family. They literally built this traditional cabin by hand. It is phenomenal work to say the least. They even installed a quality country fireplace to top it off. I had the pleasure of staying up there with my brothers for a few days and it was the bomb! Even though it was cold and snowy, that nifty country fireplace kept the entire cabin warm. Now days I can't wait to get back up there and retreat to the wonders of the wilderness. The solitude is a nice break for any human being.
