paula m asked:
I tried using dark brown shoe polish to get rid of the lighter spots, but it didn’t work. I’m assuming the lighter spots are from wear and tear, because they are only on the seat portion of the couch. Any help would be appreciated.

this is what the site says
Discoloration. For leather garments, gloves and bags that are discolored, use a leather spray designed to restore color. These products are sold at shoe repair shops; choose the color that most closely matches
Then i found this site that sells a leather repair dye kit
Try a little brown dye such as Rit or some such. Should be able to find it in most grocery stores and fabric shops.
Using shoe polish is not so good, it’ll come off on your cloths causing some people a bit of embarrassment due to what the color may resemble.
Time and wear has a way of ‘bleaching’ out dark colors, much the same as too much sun light on a carpet. FYI: The sun will do the same thing to paint too.
get a child’s crayon, same colour, melt the end with a match and gently rub into the patch you want changed and then when cold and dry, rub in
